“Looking good and feeling good are very different things. I'd rather feel good.”
— Jason Statham
Statham, a former Olympic diver turned action star, rejects the Hollywood obsession with appearance. For him, real fitness is about capability, can you move, fight, perform, not about looking pretty in a mirror.
I spent years training as a diver, then years doing my own stunts. None of that was about how I looked. It was about what my body could do. Stop training for the mirror. Train for life. The body you build through real work looks better anyway. When I was competing in diving, I had teammates who trained purely for aesthetics. They looked great but crumbled under pressure. Real performance comes from the inside. Discipline, pain, repetition. That is what builds something lasting. Vanity builds nothing.
