In 1973, I slept on the floor at Reed College, returned Coke bottles for food money, walked seven miles for a free meal at the Hare Krishna temple. No plan. I took a calligraphy class because it looked interesting. Ten years later, those letterforms became the soul of the Macintosh. You cannot see the thread while living it. Trust that your hunger will take you somewhere worth going.
