Freddie Mercury Quotes
Musician
Freddie Mercury was musician from Great Britain
“I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend.”— Freddie Mercury
This quote is widely attributed to Mercury through interviews from the 1980s. It captures his refusal to accept the ordinary and his belief that talent combined with fearless self-expression could transcend the limits of a single career or genre.
The Story of Freddie
The final recordings and what he left behind
Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987 but told almost no one. He continued recording with Queen, producing albums The Miracle and Innuendo. His last recorded vocal was The Show Must Go On in 1991. He confirmed his diagnosis publicly on November 23, 1991, and died the next day at age forty-five. His voice, his stage presence, and his refusal to be anything less than extraordinary survived him.
